ATU Local 279 President Noah Vineberg named to the ATU Canada Executive Board as Eastern representative

I am humbled and honoured to share that I have been named to the Executive Board of ATU Canada.

This role is not about stepping away from the work we do at home — it is about giving our Local a stronger voice and a seat at the important tables where decisions are shaped that affect transit workers across the country. By being there, we not only position ourselves better for the challenges and opportunities ahead, but we also stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our sisters and brothers nationwide in the fight for fairness, respect, and strong public transit.

I want to extend my sincere gratitude to my peers at the national level for their trust, and above all, to our own membership here at home. Your continued support and confidence are what makes it possible for me to take on this role. 

This is an honour I don’t take lightly — it’s another way to strengthen our voice, protect our future, and make sure our members are heard where it matters most.
