Noah Vineberg

Noah Vineberg is the elected President of ATU Local 279, representing more than 2,600 frontline transit professionals at OC Transpo, the Royal Canadian Mint, and Alstom. A veteran of the industry and a passionate advocate for public service, Noah is committed to protecting workers’ rights, strengthening public transit, and building a safer, more accountable system for everyone who depends on it.

“I’m incredibly proud and humbled to have been chosen to represent our members,” says Noah. “Their dedication and resilience are what make this city move, and it’s my responsibility to make sure their voices are heard — not only at the bargaining table but in every space where decisions are made.”

Under Noah’s leadership, ATU Local 279 has taken a vocal, action-oriented approach to negotiations, workplace safety, and public accountability. His work has been featured in local and national media, highlighting both the challenges and the importance of investing in public transit and frontline workers.
